This documentation describes the process of FBX conversion.
In FBX conversion, here are two services available:
- Upload data for web access (provide FBX file download link)
- convert FBX to 3DTiles
Upload data for web access
- Click the upload data button to open the upload panel.
- Click browse to select the FBX file you want to upload.
- Choose the conversion service as “upload data for web access”.
- Enter the version name
- Click ok to start a conversion
Convert FBX to 3DTiles
Requirements: Only accept FBX zip file, below are the folder structure of FBX zip file.

- Click the upload data button to open the upload panel.
- Click browse to select the FBX zip file you want to upload.
- Choose the file format as FBX
- Choose the conversion service as “convert FBX to 3DTiles”.
- Enter the version name
- Click ok to start a conversion
The conversion process may take a few minutes to a few hours to complete, depends on the file size. Once completed, you will get four URLs.
Tools for FBX converted 3DTiles
Load Model:
You can use this function to preview your converted FBX model.
Edit location:
You can use Edit location to edit location parameters to refine the location of the model. Location parameters include lon, lat, height, rotate, scale, and vertical axis.
Get urls:
- Converted file download link: 3DTiles zip file download link
- Original file download link: uploaded FBX file download link
- 3DTiles link: 3DTiles link for web access

Publish in DT:
This function will publish the converted 3DTiles into data explore and make it publicly available for all the users. For more details about managing 3DTiles access in data explorer, please visit data access control configuration
