The edit mode contains two parts which are envelope list and ruleset. The first look of the edit mode would be the envelope list. Simply click one of the envelope name, you will be direct to its rulesets page. In here, you can edit rulesets in three levels, which are envelope level, edge level and vertex level.
Edit envelope level ruleset
You can modify both top’s and base’s ruleset include floor height, base/top height, floor number, setback. For more information about the ruleset, please go to the page: DEC control ruleset.
Envelope level ruleset is in the top hierarchy. Any change made to the envelope level ruleset will apply to each edge, which means it will recalculate the boundary to top and base. It would change your previous edge rule setting, and the height of each vertex.
Edit edge level ruleset
You can modify the setback to each edge. And the system will automatically recalculate the boundaries of top and base. Any change made to the edge level ruleset would reset the height of each vertex.
Edit vertex level ruleset
You can find each vertex of the roof with their height value. By editing the height value, you would be able to create different types of roofs.
