The Breach Duration Analysis on grid borrows the outputs of the breach duration analysis at the level of common trajectories and converts them to metrics attributable to the units of space (on a grid system). In doing so, the duration of a common trajectory spent over each unit of space is calculated and then those durations are accumulated over each unit of space (1m*1m grid is currently used in the DT). This way units of space can be subsequently colour-coded based upon the average amount that continues exposures have occurred in them. This gives an indication of where in the space continuous exposures are more likely to occur.
