
In the latest version of story map, we support several different data sources, including simple geometries (point, polyline, polygon, extruded polygon), Map Layer (WMS, WFS), and 3D Tiles.
3D Tiles
Click the Add New Observation button, located on the top right of the observations. And choose 3D TIles.
A new window will pop up allowing you to search 3D Tiles.

Seach layer by the layer name or keywords, and choose a style. You can preview the data by clicking the Preview Data button. Once decided just click the save button, and the 3D Tiles will be added to this observation list of the slide.
Note: you can always create more styles of a 3D Tiles layer in the data panel.
Map Layers
Click the Add New Observation button, located on the top right of the observations. And choose Map Layer.
A new window will pop up allowing you to search map layers.

Seach layer by the layer name or keywords. Filter and style are optional. You can preview the data by clicking the Preview Data button. Once decided just click the save button, and the map layer will be added to this observation list of the slide.
The filter applied to the map layer is a standard CQL filter. For more details about CQL filter please go to CQL and ECQL — GeoServer 2.20.x User Manual
The style options in this popped window are linked to the same style you’ve created in the data panel. If you’d like to add a new style please go to the data panel, and create a new style. For details about different styles please to Symbology – Digitwin Documentation Base
Extruded Polygon
Click the Add New Observation button, located on the top right of the observations. And choose extruded polygon. Now you can start drawing a polygon on the map, Single click to add a vertex, and double click to end the drawing.
After drawing a window will pop up with essential information of the extruded polygon, including title, description and configuration of extruded polygon appearance.

Polygon
Click the Add New Observation button, located on the top right of the observations. And choose polygon. Now you can start drawing a polygon on the map, Single click to add a vertex, and double click to end the drawing.

Polyline
Click the Add New Observation button, located on the top right of the observations. And choose polygon. Now you can start drawing a polyline on the map, Single click to add a vertex, and double click to end the drawing.
After drawing a window will pop up with essential information of the polyline, including title, description and configuration of polyline appearance.

Point
Click the Add New Observation button, located on the top right of the observations. And choose polygon. Now you can start drawing a polyline on the map, Single click to add a point, and a window will pop up with essential information of the polyline, including title, description and configuration of point appearance.
